Based on the authors experience, he manages to convey his personal feelings and experiences from 40+ years as a project manager. And he does it very well!

As a practitioner, you feel at home at once, and the coverage is "just" right, so it doesn't get too academic or too self-centered. Recommended reading for anyone interested in project management, even though it may need to be complemented by an academic book to be complete.
