Alan Mumford

Alan Mumford's experience in Management Development has been exceptionally wide. It included a period with John Laing & Sons, IPC Magazines, International Computers Ltd and the Chloride Group. He was also Deputy Chief Training Adviser at the Department of Employment. In 1983 he was appointed Professor of Management Development at the International Management Centres Association, and is now Visiting Professor. His main work is on improving performance, especially through effective learning processes. He has worked with senior managers and directors and developers in a variety of organisations including Ford of Europe, Pilkington, Brooke Bond and Unison (the UK's largest Trade Union). He has worked with organisations in Australia, South Africa and the United States.
