Anthony Tarantino is a recognized authority in global compliance and compliance automation and the requirements to improve internal controls, risk management, and corporate governance as part of the Sarbanes-Oxley Act (SOX), and related regulatory requirements coming to virtually every region, industry, and governmental entity.
Dr. Tarantino has nearly 30 years' experience in management positions in a variety of industries and regulatory environments.
He has implemented and integrated over a dozen compliance, and operational systems and tools along with the business transformation needed to optimize their use.
He is the author of The Manager's Guide to Compliance, the first comprehensive text on financial compliance for Wiley & Sons that addresses all the major COSO and COBIT based compliance and governance initiatives that are emerging on a global basis. He has published over a dozen compliance related articles and white papers over the last three years. He is also a frequent speaker for professional organizations on compliance related topics.
He has begun work on The Manager's Guide to Global Compliance, and is enlisting contributors for industry, country, and regional chapters. This will be a truly pioneering work in helping managers in all regions, disciplines, and industries navigate the road to robust environmental and financial compliance.
Dr. Tarantino recently received his Six Sigma Black Belt, held a CPIM from APICS, and CPM from ISM for 20 years. He earned a Ph.D. in organizational communications from the University of California, Irvine, and a B.A. from the University of California, Santa Cruz.
He currently runs the automated compliance practice for BearingPoint.
