Bruce received the following degrees: from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, a B.S. and a Ph.D. and from Princeton University and M.P.A. and an M.S.
Bruce Corman Norbert Greenwald OP, (born 1946), is one of the nation's leading economists. He currently serves as the Heilbrun Professor of Asset Management and Finance at Columbia University's Graduate School of Business, teaching Finance, Corporate Finance and Managerial Economics. He taught as a professor at the Harvard Business School and Wesleyan University. Early in his career, he was a research economist at Bell Laboratories and, for a one-year period beginning in 1987, was the staff economist for the Presidential Task Force on Market Mechanisms (the Brady Task Force).

Bruce has written numerous papers published in journals such as the American Economic Review, Journal of Finance, Rand Journal of Economics, Oxford Economic Papers, Journal of Finance and Accounting, Quarterly Journal of Economics and Journal of Industrial and Corporate Change.
Bruce consults worldwide on a variety of issues concerning capital markets, business strategy, corporate finance and labor performance. He has been referred to by The New York Times as "a guru to Wall Street's gurus," and is a recognized authority on value investing, along with additional expertise in productivity and the economics of information.
He and his wife, Ava Seave, have a daughter and live in Manhattan, New York.
