Dean B. McFarlin is a professor of management in the School of Business Administration at the University of Dayton. In 2001 he was appointed to serve as the NCR Chair in Global Leadership Development. Professor McFarlin received his doctorate in social/organizational psychology from the State University of New York at Buffalo. His articles have appeared in various academic journals, such as the Academy of Management Journal and Journal of Organizational Behavior, as well as practitioner outlets. In addition to a forthcoming text on organization behavior, Professor McFarlin has coauthored books on international management and narcissistic leadership. His current research interests focus on cross-cultural management and organizational justice. Professor McFarlin has been a consulting editor at the Journal of Organizational Behavior since 1998 and also writes a monthly management column, The Leading Edge, for The Dayton Business Journal.
