Debbie Notkin is the editor author of the text for Women En Large: Images of Fat Nudes and editor of the text and co-author of the keynote essay for Familiar Men: A Book of Nudes. She has worked closely with Laurie Edison since 1984 on issues of body image and visibility, writing and co-authoring numerous essays and papers.
In addition to her work with Edison, she is a freelance instructional designer, and a consulting editor for Tor Books, where she is especially proud of having acquired and edited the last two books in Suzy McKee Charnasâs Holdfast Chronicle. She is on the board of the James Tiptree Jr. Literary Award Council, and edited Flying Cups and Saucers, the first anthology of Tiptree Award nominees.
She lives in Oakland, California.
