Professor Geoff Lancaster started his practical career in marketing in the early 1960s and then progressed to an academic career in marketing in the late 1960s when it was just a fledgling subject that depended on a set of techniques. Geoff has published numerous research papers in the fields of SME Planning and Organisational Buying Behaviour and has around 25 textbooks to his credit with highly rated academic publishers like McGraw-Hill, Prentice-Hall, Macmillan and Butterworth-Heinemann. He also acts as critical reviewer in marketing to many other international publishing houses.
Geoff capitalised on his experience in 1990 when he set up a corporate communications company, Durham Associates Group Limited of which he is now part-time Chairman. The company achieved the Queen's Award for Export Achievement in 1999. He was awarded a Fellowship for the London Chamber of Commerce & Industry in 1992 for services to business education.
