Gilbert Toppin is an independent business consultant who has had a succession of senior roles in the consulting industry, most recently as chief operating officer for European consulting at Deloitte.
Born in the Americas and now London-based, he has worked all over the world. His early career focused on structural economic development projects such as the revitalization of rice production in Indonesia and the reconstruction of the sugar industry in Peru. More recently he worked on Russia's privatisation programme and large-scale consulting projetcs, such as Vodafone's programme of change. He is a Chartered Engineer, with a BSc from Edinburgh and an MSc from Southampton.
