H. George Friedman, Jr.

Professor Friedman worked on the development of the PLATO and NovaNET systems of computer-aided instruction, including the development of the systems themselves and of courseware for the teaching of computer science on these systems. More recently, University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign has turned such work over to University Communications, Inc. (UCI). Since his retirement, Prof. Friedman no longer has an active research program.

George has a Ph.D. from Florida State University, 1966.
