Since January 2014, Luc leads Strategic Partnering Ltd, a company he founded to help organisations and people break through the limitations of vertical silos and, by entering alliances, build different, transformational, strategic value opportunities. He recently published Strategic Partnering, a vade mecum book of tested methods and techniques to remove chance and deliver consistent success from strategic co-operation management.
A Group Vice President for 12 years, Luc was Group Chief Sales & Marketing Officer of BP plc. from 2007 to 2013. Prior to this, he was a member of BP’s Refining & Marketing Senior Executive Team and Chief Executive of world scale B2B, FMCG and Retail businesses, Castrol Europe, procurement and sustainable mobility. He started his career running global businesses in the Burmah Castrol, Hoechst and Pechiney groups.
Luc also founded BP’s 'Strategic Accounts' division in 2003 and remained its CEO for more than a decade, building and growing ground-breaking alliances with passenger and commercial vehicle OEMs, mining, retail, logistics, technology and other leading global institutions. This also included BP’s first tier partnership with the London 2012 Games and the company’s continuing commitments to the Olympic and Paralympic movements.
Luc has operated globally during his whole career. He is adjunct professor at Imperial College Business School, has been living in the UK for 20 years and speaks fluent English, French and German. His interests are partnerships, brands, integration of mobility and energy and rugby.
