Reid Hoffman is an entrepreneur, venture capitalist, and author. He's co-founder of LinkedIn, a partner at the venture capital firm Greylock Partners, and the author of four books, including most recently, Blitzscaling. In 2016, he sold LinkedIn to Microsoft and joined Microsoft's board
Hoffman is part of the so-called "PayPal Mafia," and was one of the first employees at the payment company that was later sold to eBay.
Before PayPal, Hoffman created the (failed) dating site SocialNet, which some regard as the first online social network.
He sits on the boards of several nonprofits, including Kiva, which seeks to combat poverty through microfinance.
He holds a Bachelor of Arts/Science, Stanford University and Master of Science, Oxford University.
