This change is accelerating, casting a spotlight on the economy and pointing out the businesses and business models that must adapt or die trying. As business leaders, decision makers, entrepreneurs, intrapreneurs, and change agents, it's up to you to redesign and shift your organizations' business models to ensure your organization lives on and thrives in the future. Business Model Shifts shows you how to do all this, and much more.
The book examines six different kinds of business model shifts, each addressing a structural flaw in the current economic system, and identifies the opportunities that lie on the other side of those flaws.
Covering 39 case studies, 60+ individual business models, and m ore than 30 patterns, Business Model Shifts is a comprehensive resource for understanding the mindset, opportunities, business model options, and bold steps you can take to create your own shift for the future.
This is a book that tries to explain that we need to shift business models (all new ones also needs to be about more eco-friendly and more service-oriented).
It is basing its reasoning around the Business Model Canvas and the most part of the book is examples of companies business models (sometimes new and old). and a very small part is dedicated to reason why this is so.
I.e., it is fun to see some BMC's, but it contains very little information and is in fact devoid of most academic or practical value.
