OK ***** (5 out of 10)

Well, the author is enthusiastic about her subject, and is a fairly good writer, so you enjoy reading her book. And she is not even obviously wrong either, which is good, even though her outlook on personalities and their expressions in different cultures are very Australian/American. I doubt that some of her practical recommendations would work in the Scandinavian culture fort example (some exceptions of course exists, as humans are a variable bunch).

As she has done a fair amount of reading (lots of good references in the book), I am a bit surprised that she obviously has never read about the Hawthorne experiments. If she had (very few MBAs don't know about them and their implications), she could have skipped half the book and had an easier experience.

But with that said, it is a fairly OK book to read, even though it is not really revolutionary that if you give attention to people and listen to them, you get better performance.
