Em is one of the most experienced Scaled Agile practitioners in the world having started working with SAFe before it was even called SAFe. She was one of the first 200 SPCs, one of the first 20 SPCTs and one of the first 4 SAFe Fellows. Em has three official SAFe case studies; the most of any individual SAFe practitioner in the world. She has two number-one best selling SAFe books; Tribal Unity and The ART of Avoiding a Train Wreck. In 2014, Em founded Pretty Agile with the goal of helping organisations achieve Business Agility with SAFe and Tribal Unity.

After close to 20 years in business management roles within multinational blue chip corporations, Em discovered Agile and became passionate about the opportunity it provides to align business and IT around the delivery of value. In 2012, she launched Australia’s first Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) Agile Release Train. The story of the cultural transformation that accompanied this launch of this train has become legendary in the agile community, which has led to her being considered a thought leader on scaling agile culture. As a true servant leader, Em is passionate about building great teams and transforming culture whilst still maintaining focus and commitment to delivering business outcomes.

As an experienced General Manager, Em is comfortable to operate at all levels of the organisation whether it be presenting to CXOs, collaborating with executives or working with delivery teams on more operational challenges. While at Telstra, she proved her ability to deliver large scale, multimillion-dollar programs on time and on budget. At the heart of Em's success is her unrelenting focus on building a culture of transparency, lean leadership, learning and innovation.

Em is an active member of the global agile community and was invited to co-chair the Enterprise Agile track for the Agile Alliance 2014, 2015 and 2016 conferences. As a globally recognised expert in Scaling Agile and Lean Agile Leadership, Em is sought after Keynote speaker. In recognition of her experience with and contribution to the Scaled Agile Framework, Em was one of the first people in the world to be invited to become a SAFe Fellow; a level of certification held by less than 30 people globally. Em also blogs about her "Adventures in Scaling Agile".
